The Shield absorbs damage and other negative effects in Blitz Brigade. You can increase the amount of damage absorbed by spending skillpoints or diamonds in it. The shield has seven different cathegories of negative effect absorption: damage absorption, shock absorption, splash absorption, fire absorption, toxic absorption, bleeding absorption and concussion absorption.
